Position Summary and Responsibilities:
This position will research, develop, design, create, and deploy policies and public statements regarding sustainability. As a core technical expert (social compliance, product safety, organics, critical commodities, animal welfare, and other product safety, integrity, and sustainability topics) this individual will create policies, interface with GSO, Brands, and RBS to communicate topics and to address and/or resolve issues, while understanding the impact to Brand Strategies.

• Core technical expert (social compliance, product safety, organics, critical commodities, animal welfare, etc.), Creates policies, interfaces with GSO, Brands, RBS, resolves issues; understands impact to Brand Strategies, etc.
• Manages policies and public statements with regard to their sustainability area; manages formal repository for issues management statements for the US organization.
• Manages key external stakeholders (incl. NGOs, governmental agencies, and industry trade groups); documents, coordinates and communicates on critical issues externally to customers and other external stakeholders.
• Communicate statements/ policies to Brand Teams and other RBS Teams responsible for delivering on sustainability goals.
• Facilitating the product integrity & sustainability reporting and analysis (with GSO and Brands)
• Manage / coordinate best practices for product integrity & sustainability programs and align across the Brands.
• Develop and deploy product sustainability training for the Brands and RBS Teams
• Ability to impact and influence core business areas and all 6 Brand Teams (including Own Brands, Sourcing, Merchandising, Marketing, Format, Operations, Ops Support, Legal, Finance, communications teams) to drive sustainable products expectations.
Requirements • 10+ years of relevant experience in sustainability related work
• Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
• Ability to make complex emerging issues into digestible information for leaders
• Experience and execution in change management
• Familiarity with Environmental Social and Governance reporting a plus
• Grocery or Retail Experience a plus
• Plastics Sustainability project experience a plus
• Demonstrated experience in helping organizations achieve sustainability goals
• Excellent communication skills with a comfort to interact with all levels of the organization
