This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 2 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 2 days per week; work in-office at least 3 days per week)Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruits, relocates, and recommends qualified employees for their team; determines the appropriate training methods/courses for new hires.
• Understands the overarching company strategy, while communicating and modeling the core values of the organization, to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employees.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their team to assure mutual understanding of desired results; resolves internal or external barriers that prohibit successful goal achievement.
• Recommends actions and initiatives to the direct leader with respect to further developing the Corporate Responsibility strategy and the Corporate Responsibility Principles of the company.
• Advises about membership in Corporate Responsibility associations and on stakeholder engagement.
• Keeps the direct leader informed about new internal and external developments in the Corporate Responsibility area.
• Supports national and international departments in the development and implementation of goals.
• Communicates and collaborates with national and international Corporate Responsibility departments.
• Coordinates with communications teams to develop internal and external Corporate Responsibility Communications.
• Coordinates with key stakeholders in the business to implement cross-departmental Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with national and international Corporate Responsibility goals and keeps leadership informed of progress.
• Consults with executives on the development of their team’s strategy.
• Makes recommendations to executives on how to improve, design, and streamline applicable policies, procedures, and practices.
• Manages external consultants.
• Liaises with directors in other ALDI countries to facilitate the sharing of best practices.
• Analyzes market and societal developments in the Corporate Responsibility area and proposes new strategies.
• Represents the company in Corporate Responsibility associations and initiatives.
• Develops and oversees national and international roadmaps.
• Directs their team by ensuring that all projects and tasks meet business needs as well as expectations for quality and service.
• Establishes team objectives that align with the overall company strategy.
• Participates in National and Specialist Committees as required to establish best practice and business consistency.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive external experience in Corporate Responsibility (required), and retail operations or at least 4 years of relevant experience at ALDI.
• DMD, PM, Expat or Special Assignment experience is preferred for District Manager candidates.
• Completion of the ALDI LEAD program (for internal candidates) or equivalent combination of external leadership experience and training required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Work is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform duties.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
• Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.
• Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Travel:
• International & Domestic travel required.
• Up to 5%.
