In this role, the leader will help to scope and define sustainability issues for the Global Mile team and develop policies, products, and metrics to ensure objectives are achieved. This position requires the ability to think big and dive deep, and embody a unique mix of leadership and technical acumen. This candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders. In addition, this opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, technical environment. The ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must. Ownership of work is extremely important, and candidates should have a proven record of driving projects and strategic initiatives to their completion. The ideal candidate is motivated, agile, with strong time management and project management skills, and is technical and analytical. The candidate will also have a passion for helping us to identify and promote sustainability issues and opportunities at Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 5+ years of progressive responsibility in program/product management, logistics, operations, procurement, supply chain, or related field
· Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale initiatives
· Data mining, data analysis, and problem solving skills
· Written, verbal, and interpersonal/team communications skills
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
· Experience in managing large projects/products across multiple organizations and partnering with multiple disciplines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor of Science
· Passion for sustainability
· Advanced education in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field
· Expertise with analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, MS Excel, and SharePoint
· Knowledge of emerging sustainability technology
· Experience in global logistics commercial negotiations
· Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical concepts and communicate with technical team
· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion
