Position Overview:
Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is seeking an experienced Sustainability & Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Consultant with broad experience and subject matter expertise in corporate sustainability/ESG strategy, reporting and disclosure, and business development.
As a Sustainability & ESG Consultant, you will oversee a variety of strategic, technical, and disclosure related projects in support of multinational clients spanning multiple sectors. to and. Projects include but are not limited to supporting other aspects of our Sustainability Practice offerings including corporate water stewardship, decarbonization, and climate change resiliency.
For experienced candidates, this position may entail Sustainability Practice Area Leadership accountabilities to include overseeing and supporting Service Line Leaders with maintaining and enhancing our solutions, resource planning, marketing, and messaging, and innovation.

The position is full-time with travel up to an estimated 35% as necessary subject to current policies and guidelines around pandemic concerns, as dictated by local, regional, state, federal, and Antea Group’s internal company guidelines.
Typical job assignments may include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Ability to deliver advisory to national and international corporate clients on sustainability and ESG topics.
Provide oversight across the full project lifecycle including technical guidance to project team and serving as a main point of customer relationship management for clients.
Provide continuous market insights and support the transition into enhanced and new services and solutions in collaboration with our Segment and Service Line Leaders.
Serve as Client Account Leader for key accounts and as a Sustainability Liaison to account teams.
Support the organization and Sustainability Practice with thought leadership, social media engagement, and marketing.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience with specialized expertise in multiple Sustainability & ESG topics, including but not limited to:
- Materiality assessment-based strategic advisory (e.g. prioritization, goals and targets, strategic roadmaps).
- Decarbonization including greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory development, carbon reduction opportunity evaluation, and carbon strategy (e.g. net zero by 2050 plan).
- Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) climate risk assessment and climate action strategy development, including familiarity with transitional and physical risk and opportunity assessment, scenario analysis, and preparation of TCFD disclosures.
- Corporate reporting and disclosure (GRI, SASB, CDP, DJSI, Ecovadis, ISS, customer surveys, and Sustainability Reports).
- Proven track record of strong project management performance in sustainability/corporate responsibility, environmental consulting, business consulting, or related field.
- Experience in driving multi-phase projects to completion including diverse project teams / multiple stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of ESG, and how businesses are incorporating ESG into their programs and investment theses.
- Self-sufficient with excellent proposal writing and report writing skills, capable of producing high quality client-ready documents.
- Team player, with an inclination for leadership, team management, coordination, and direction.
- Responsive by nature, with a willingness to perform as necessary based on client needs and expectations.
- Active engagement with Sustainability and/or ESG industry associations and thought leadership forums.
- Potential employees must pass a company-paid physical examination, drug-screen and have a valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following:
- Sedentary to light work (typical office or administrative work).
- Frequently required to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of low (under 25lbs) to moderate (25-49lbs) weight objects.
- Repetitive motions: substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (including reaching).
- Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change).
- Operation of a motor vehicle.
Additionally, if you are assigned work in the field at client project sites you will need to complete a medical surveillance/fitness-for-duty examination and maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include the following:
- Medium to heavy work.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions: heat/cold, wind, wet and/or humid, etc.
- Occasional stooping (bending body downward and forward), kneeling (bending legs at knee), crouching (bending body downward and forward) and climbing.
- Frequent lifting (including push/pull, hold/carry) of light, moderate and possibly heavy weight objects.
- Subject to hazards, including a variety of physical conditions, including but not limited to: proximity to moving vehicles, parts or equipment; exposure to chemicals; pressure (including noise); electrical hazards; biological hazards; excavation/trenching; confined spaces; elevated work; materials handling.
