Position Overview:
Job Description
This role supports many University Sustainability Practices (USP) campus engagement programs, USP communications internally and externally as well as departmental administrative duties. Major oversight of the Sustainability Recognition Program, Green Devil Ambassador Program, USP Program Assistant trainings, USP newsletter content procurement, assistance with sustainability trainings and Earth Month oversight for events and campus activities that support ASU’s sustainability initiatives. Administrative duties include department purchases / paperwork tracking, parking permits, emergency contact lists, Department Time Administrator, new hire orientation and coordination and tracking of departmental computers with BFIT. This role helps us to achieve our goals and meet specific criteria for our third-party sustainability rankings.
Essential Duties
- Plan and facilitate USP sustainability programs.
- Track engagement numbers and report quarterly.
- Communicate opportunities campus wide via all marketing channels within ASU.
- Oversee a team of student workers and provide required trainings.
- Contribute to and facilitate USP newsletter.
- Perform basic administrative duties a assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Six years of progressively responsible administrative/coordinator program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with campus engagement and successful programs that spur positive behavior change. (2 years)
- Experience with program development and tracking.
- Degree related to sustainability, environmental sciences, urban planning and social sciences or similar.
- Experience with public speaking and presentation design that supports sustainable outcomes.
Working Environment
- Shared office setting and off-site outdoor events are required.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds and travel to each campus.
