As Corporate Sustainability Manager/Executive you will transform how we track, report and act on our sustainability policies and performance. Collaborating with business leaders, think-tanks, and NGOs you will advise on policies that further our sustainability goals. You will play a leadership role in helping us achieve sustainable performance and operationalize a sustainable operating culture within the company.
As a Corporate Sustainability Manager/Executive you will be responsible for:
- Creating and executing the framework for our sustainability goals, transforming our performance into indicators
- Developing and curating enterprise-wide communities of practice with ESG pillar leaders related to the topics of environment, social, and governance
- Advising leadership on policies, technologies and economic models relating to climate change and emissions performance
- Collaborating with policymakers, NGOs, think-tanks, thought-leaders and partners to help us achieve our sustainability goals
- Keeping up to date on advancements in the field of sustainability, particularly emissions reporting and performance, to enhance our knowledge of policies, technologies, and business models
- Executing quarterly to annual ESG voluntary reporting and any future compulsory reporting to governments and/or stakeholders.
- Executing annual climate-related risk analysis on the topics of physical and transition risk to the company in conjunction – and collaborating closely with enterprise peers on the risk mitigation and planning activities.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a background in environmental/sustainability science or engineering
- Have at least five years of experience in the energy sector
- Have experience with emissions reporting frameworks, trading schemes, auditing and/or carbon mitigation solutions
- Be a great networker, with a natural ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of seniority
- Be a strategic thinker, able to see the bigger picture, think laterally and connect the dots
- Have supervisory experience and interest
- Have great written and presentation skills, able to articulate technical and scientific information in a clear, easy manner
