Position Overview:

Job Description
This role works cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to align on key initiatives and influences the business to drive improving metrics across ESG measures. The ESG Manager excels at engaging in cross organization collaboration and brings passion, curiosity and an all-in approach to tackling complex challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ESG KPI dashboard and prepare information for C-Suite executives and Board of Directors.
  • Develop ESG targets, multi-year ESG roadmap and manage implementation of initiatives to drive maturation of ESG/Sustainability program.
  • Maintain Materiality Assessment and lead work to periodically refresh.
  • Manage creation of public ESG report; coordinate across all relevant internal functions and manage external vendors including consultant and designer. Maintain and manage
  • Sustainability webpages on Bose.xx. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to include ESG topics for internal and external communications.
  • Coordinate engagement on ESG topics with external stakeholders – e.g. B2B customers.
  • Develop internal messaging and drive employee engagement on ESG topics.
  • Manage corporate ESG-related industry memberships – e.g. Responsible Business Alliance membership.
  • Support ESG Compliance for such topics as eWaste, Climate Change and Human Rights.
  • Assess and analyze company policies and processes to identify areas in and processes to which improvements can be made in accordance with the organizations commitment to ESG.
  • Manage the collection, storage validation and distribution of ESG data and content for reporting and responding to requests from key partners.
  • Develop tools that enable ESG metrics and data tracking.
  • Set and perform due diligence and regular monitoring for ESG metrics.
  • Develop and deliver presentations related to ESG strategy, performance and roadmap.
  • Respond to key ESG surveys, questionnaires and customer inquiries.
  • Identify emerging ESG trends and legislation and incorporate them into ESG strategy.
  • Perform peer analysis and identify benchmarking indicators.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong subject matter expertise and understanding of ESG issues – product sustainability, carbon accounting, corporate responsibility, community involvement, human rights, sustainable supply chain management, risk-management, etc.
  • Ability to perform quantitative tasks with speed and accuracy, including collection and management of data.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills; both oral and written.
  • Ability to achieve goals through influence and objective-sharing without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across an organization.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5%

Education and Experience

  • Understanding of sustainability principles, issues and the methods with which sustainability can be integrated into business operations.
  • Minimum 8-10 progressive responsibility in ESG, Sustainability, or other related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • An advanced degree in business, environmental or sustainability management or a similar undergraduate minor/major is a plus.
  • Experience with sustainability reporting is required.
  • Electronics industry/technical experience a plus.
  • Global perspective and/or experience a plus.
