What we’re looking for

We are seeking an energetic, mid-career professional with consulting sales experience and expertise in corporate sustainability, energy or a related field to help our firm grow our client base and the market for carbon management and removal. Experience with carbon markets is a particular asset for this role. As a remote team we welcome applicants from anywhere.

Responsibilities

• Prospect client leads, assessing needs and opportunities for development
• Engage with current and new clients to develop projects for the carbon market
• Scope and build out engagements ranging from enterprise-wide carbon strategies to targeted pilots
• Work strategically with Carbon Direct teams to develop and improve the sales funnel and conversion rates
• Serve on internal technical and/or business working groups as necessary (e.g. Environmental Justice working group)

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Track record of developing strategic relationships across industries
• Expertise with climate and energy topicsKeen understanding of the needs and constraints faced by current and prospective clients and how to creatively address them
• Superior communication and analytical skills; able to meet informational needs across a wide range of actors
• Demonstrated excellence in a fast-paced, outcome-oriented professional environment (consulting, startup, not-for-profit, etc.)
• A collaborative working style
• Curiosity and a hunger to learn

For this role, we strongly prefer candidates in San Francisco or Seattle, but it is not a hard requirement and we welcome remote employees.
