Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental Analyst!
This individual will analyze waste budget and offloading trends for cost-effectiveness, recommend financial improvements in ship environmental operations. Coordinate with CCL Strategic Sourcing and waste vendors for optimal contracting. Oversee the implementation and Roll out of MXP Project across the CCL fleet. Oversee effectiveness and efficiency of MXP project. Facilitate invoice process for all Environmental waste offloads and sampling.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, manage and maintain waste invoicing and payment program for designated waste streams. (i.e, review and approves environmental requisitions and issues environmental purchase orders to approved waste vendors). Act as the company liaison for all vendor related issues and negotiate all invoice issues and discrepancies. Utilize Infoship and MXP database application for the marine operations waste streams for all ships.
- Analyze ship itinerary for waste offloading efficiency and determine the most effective ports to offload the various waste streams. This role must maintain effective oversight of global waste operations.
- Track, Manage, and submit all Recycling Rebate Checks received for all ships and vendors.
- Assist, track, coordinate and analyze services for on board environmental sampling (incinerator ash, EGCS, Waste water, etc.). Monitor result trends to ensure proactive maintenance of environmental equipment is done.
- Analyze, track, and update environmental waste management budget for the fleet on a monthly basis. Work with Marine Planning/Budgeting group to effectively create budget forecasts for the year for each waste type and ship. Analyze each ships itinerary and waste offloading history and trends to come up with a solid forecast for each ship and waste type. Track all waste offload Purchase Orders for all ships, as well as the invoices and actuals for those offloads.
- Collect data pertaining to ship operations and broader environmental operations programs.
- Manage the rollout and implementation of the Marine Exchange Program (MXP) (new project for purchase orders and invoicing for environmental staff loading) across the fleet. Come up with a plan for the implementation of the program, as well as ship training. Manage all MXP invoices for all MXP Waste Offloads. Support the ships and vendors with any MXP related issues and inquires.
- Annually compile and complete Vessel General Permit Reports for all ships across the fleet.
- Update and prepare all ship Vessel General Permit Notices Of Intent as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Environmental Management or Engineering
- 2-5 years with degree and 10 without a degree
- Excellent Microsoft Office and Excel skills
