THE OPPORTUNITY 

This person works with our Sustainability team to develop, implement and improve our current program by capturing and analyzing data surrounding our existing practices. They are responsible for working with a variety of internal departments and external partners including Operations, Facilities, Marketing and various other departments to ensure effective rollouts and communications as we work to expand and improve our efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Primary point of contact for our waste diversion efforts, including working with our waste broker and landlords to track and calculate our overall diversion rate, serving as the primary point of contact for our restaurants for their recycling efforts, and helping support both new and existing diversion programs.
  • Support strategic initiatives to reduce waste, including researching alternative materials, driving innovative pilots, and monitoring regulatory actions.
  • Support cross functional teams in supplier enagement on strategic initiatives, development of key metrics, and and suppliers to gather data, develop best practices, and evaluate opportunities for partnerships.
  •  Support ESG reporting process including data collection/analysis, copywriting, and data management for verification requirements.
  • Support the development of new ESG programs on an ongoing basis

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Have a B.A./B.S. in a related field
  • 1-3 year’s experience in a related field
  • USGBC: LEED Green Associate, LEED AP certifications preferred
  • Possess strong data and analytic skills
  • Have technical knowledge of sustainability, CSR, and ideally Philanthropy
  • Be able to provide leadership in developing, implementing and managing sustainability strategies
  • Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Be committed to social/environmental sustainability and accountability, and improving the lives of people, animals and the environment
  • Be self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Build successful working relationships by listening and communicating effectively
  • Be able to multi-task and to take on additional responsibilities as needed
  • Be a responsible, directed, and dependable self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Have basic knowledge of restaurant operations

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $64,000 to $87,000. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
