Position Overview:
Job Summary:
The Manager of Corporate Responsibility will be tasked with helping to ensure CooperCompanies is positioned for and responsive to the growing expectations among internal and external stakeholders for transparent reporting on our environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. In conjunction with senior leaders in the organization, the Manager of Corporate Responsibility priorities will include tracking and measurement of progress across CR goals, engagement on the company’s behalf with the CSRS ratings firm community and production of formal and informal reporting initiatives (e.g., sustainability report, website, intranet, ad hoc inquiries).
Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of experience working within the ESG world. A strong background in developing, leading, and producing CR reports and working with a cross functional global organization. We are looking for candidates who has a business advisor mind set, who can be a leader, a strong project manager and who can be a true business partner to all stake holders within the organization.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Developing and managing a systematic approach to formal and informal reporting on Cooper’s progress and results across relevant CR topic areas within the corporate social responsibility and sustainability strategy.
- Supporting the continued establishment of and measurement of progress against formal quantitative and qualitative CSRS goals and targets.
- Supporting Cooper’s engagement with and submissions to the formal evaluations conducted by leading CSRS research and ratings firms, including MSCI, FTSE Russell, Bloomberg GEI, ISS and CDP and others.
- Managing the development and publication of Cooper’s formal Corporate Responsibility / Sustainability Report.
- Leading the planning and implementation of reporting and transparency across additional channels, including external website and employee intranet.
- Maintaining the CSRS performance dashboard.
- Supporting regular reporting to executive management and Board of Directors.
- Benchmarking Cooper’s strategies, results and performance.
- Collaborating with partners, including the Sr. Director, Corporate Responsibility, on issue-specific reporting.
- Implementing and managing solutions for maintaining consistent and accurate tracking and reporting on CSRS performance.
- Understanding the evolving regulations, standards and frameworks for CSRS reporting and transparency.
- Serve as a resource for internal partners for formal CSRS reporting and broader communications needs and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal partners / functions that contribute to responsibility and sustainability to drive toward coalitions, consensus and action.
- Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Technical knowledge and experience with relevant CR standards and reporting frameworks, including GRI, SASB, IIIRC and others.
- Experience managing the development and publication of formal corporate responsibility / sustainability reports.
- Knowledge in managing corporate engagement with the CR ratings firm landscape.
- Understanding of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and experience with evolving approaches to corporate reporting on alignment, prioritization and progress.
- Ability to understand trends in CR expectations, perform assessments of current performance and develop recommendations for action.
- Understanding of the evolving expectations for responsibility and sustainability among various stakeholders (e.g., shareholders, CSRS ratings firms, governments, non-governmental organizations, etc.).
- Outstanding communicator with excellent presentation and strong written and oral communications skills, including command of English language for reading, writing, and comprehension.
- Project management skills and the ability to structure and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive to completion.
- Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or geographic management.
- Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible.
- Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-based environment that is fast-paced and rapidly changing.
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to identify and champion new ideas and approaches.
- Global or multi-national corporate experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in maintaining and managing positive relationships with internal customers and external vendors and consultants.
- Ability to interact across all functions and levels within the company.
- Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred.
- A minimum of 5-10 years, of progressively responsible experience in similar roles; experience in ap public, multinational corporate environment strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred.
Work Environment:
- Work environment includes: ADA compliant building, workstation in a well-lighted, air-conditioned office, computer and printer supplied by the company.
- Prolonged sitting in front of a computer.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
