Position Overview:
Passionate about sustainability and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders across the globe? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team member to advance Deloitte’s ESG reporting capabilities across the global organization. In particular, this role will support Deloitte to deliver on its WorldClimate goals, including achieving net-zero by 2030, and WorldClass goals, to support 50 million people with education and skills building opportunities by 2030.
Work you’ll do:
The Global Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CR&S) team is looking for an experienced associate to focus on our ESG reporting. This role is in Deloitte Global within Global Brand.
The role is ideal for an experienced professional who wants to advance sustainability through accurate, timely, and consistent sustainability reporting across multiple disciplines (societal impact, volunteering, charitable giving, energy efficiency, water consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and many others) within a large global organization. Combine your passion for and knowledge of sustainability with your analytical skills, strong attention to detail, critical thinking ability, willingness to learn, and communication excellence. This role also requires the ability to work globally. The ESG reporting landscape is a rapidly evolving area not just at Deloitte but also for the overall reporting community as new standards are created and existing standards evolve continuously. No two days will be the same and flexibility and willingness to jump in and do what is needed are essential.
This role will focus on two distinct, but much interconnected, work streams: social and environmental reporting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Participating in the development of the reporting strategy:
- Work with CR&S leaders to address WorldClass and WorldClimate impact measurement needs
- Assist in creating effective mechanisms to track Deloitte performance against WorldClass and WorldClimate goals
- Stay abreast of the rapidly developing ESG reporting field by identifying leading practices and industry trends
- Develop and implement advancements to the ESG reporting process
- Assisting with internal and external ESG communications:
- Gather inputs and create sustainability content/communications for various internal stakeholders
- Respond to questionnaires from clients/potential clients as part of RFPs and other sustainability inquiries
- Supporting the CR&S team to successfully deliver the ESG information published annually in the Deloitte Global Impact Report and in other publications:
- Create guidance for Member Firm stakeholders around the world as reporting needs evolve, and deliver training on the new guidance
- Perform system administration for and deliver user training on Deloitte’s environmental reporting technology platform
- Manage data collection processes
- Review data and provide recommendations on country-level and global-level goals/KPIs
- Analyze data and build visualizations to share KPIs with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Who you’ll work with:
In Global CR&S, we make an impact by inspiring and educating our practitioners around WorldClass and WorldClimate commitments, and supporting the advancement of responsible social and environmental practices at Deloitte. Our contributions lead to helping Deloitte change ourselves and the world for climate action, transparency and sustainability. You will work most directly with the Global Internal Sustainability ESG Reporting lead but will also at times support others with the sustainability and Corporate Responsibility teams. Additionally, you will be connected with the large network of internal and external stakeholders with whom the group works to accomplish its goals.
