Team Description
Our Legal, Policy, Trust & Privacy teams help keep users and their stuff safe, protect Dropbox, counsel Dropboxers on challenging problems, and are always synced with the Dropbox teams they work with. We deal with novel issues every day while standing up for users and helping the company and product grow.
Role Description
As Dropbox’s Social Impact and Sustainability Program Manager, you will help build and mature our evolving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) program. You will work cross functionally across Dropbox’s global offices in close collaboration with our small but high performing existing team. You will help leverage the power of our people, product, and resources to make the world a better place. And you’ll play a crucial role in developing Dropbox’s ESG program and supporting the team as we execute on our sustainability goals. The strength of your project management and organizational skills, prior experience and knowledge of ESG reporting, and your positive energy and passion for doing good will enable you to effectively advance Dropbox’s ESG priorities. This role will report to our Director of Social Impact with a flexible location.
Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional teams to develop various ESG and sustainability reports and disclosures, including Dropbox’s first full ESG Report planned for 2022
- Assist with the ESG data collection process across Dropbox
- Provide support for annual ESG disclosures, including future Climate Disclosure Project (CDP) submissions and ESG surveys
- Actively engage in learning opportunities regarding ESG reporting regulations and trends, including the ESG ratings and rankings ecosystem, reporting frameworks, and sustainability reporting standards
- Support our annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory, according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
- Help manage our carbon offset and renewable energy certificate accounting, documentation, and claims
- Field and manage responses to employee ESG questions
- Assist with various Social Impact projects, including employee engagement events and the work of the Dropbox Foundation, as needed
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years experience in sustainability, ESG, or related business experience
- Data analytics, accounting, audit, or reporting experience
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) reporting framework and/or Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as well as Task Force on Climate-Related Financial
- Disclosures (TCFD), CDP, etc.
- Experience or strong understanding of GHG inventory and carbon accounting, CDP, science-based targets (SBT) development and/or SBT-related supply chain engagement
- Excellent project management skills
- Sweats the details and thrives on multi-tasking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to large groups
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Self-starter, yet team-oriented
- A desire to create and launch new programs and initiatives
- Solutions-oriented problem solver
- Guided by a personal integrity that reflects Dropbox’s core values
- Passionate about ESG and the role of corporations in being good private sector partners to effect change
- B.A./B.S. with excellent academic credentials, an advanced degree in a relevant field a plus, but not required
