Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Establish science based metrics using empirical methods to establish and support claims supporting sustainability impact
• Develop and manage a program that documents and verifies all existing claims on sustainability handprint impacts
• Work with customers and peers to understand what sustainability metrics are currently used and accepted
• Identify new data sets which have merit to improve Evoqua’s sustainability position in the market
• Support a program that coordinates all regional Evoqua locations to utilize IOT/digital methods to automate sustainability claims
• Support internal and external stakeholder engagement
• Additional support of Evoqua’s sustainability program as assigned
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Position Summary
Working within the Sustainability team, and also in collaboration with the Innovation & Technology organization, the Manager of Sustainable Technoloigy and Measurement will identify and establish metrics to support claims to support efforts which impact Evoqua’s corporate sustainability goals as well as Evoqua solutions which positively impact our customers’ sustainability goals. The Manager role requires a self-starter with a variety of experience/skills in the areas of sustainability innovation, stakeholder engagement, IOT, data management and projects related to calculating the positive impact of our products and services. In addition, the Manager will directly interface with customers to collect and provide insights into sustainability needs as well as describing the potential performance and impact of Evoqua solutions. This role is critical to support Evoqua’s internal sustainability efforts in addition to the quantification of our external sustainability impact in support of sales efforts and strategies.

This role requires a team player who has knowledge of a range of sustainability topics, has a background in data collection and analysis, has technical aptitude in the water industry, can work independently, elevate issues as appropriate, and problem solve.

Position Requirements
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in engineering, sustainability, environmental, or related field. Master’s degree a plus.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of sustainability topics ranging across environmental, social and possibly corporate governance spheres ranging from (for example) emissions, waste, and water to community impact.
• Competence in analyzing complex data sets
• Experience in innovation, sustainability, and/or water industry
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities including data collection, aggregation and analysis
• Experience in marketing and/or communications a plus
• Proactive, self-starter with attention to deadlines
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
