Ferguson is seeking a hardworking professional with knowledge of corporate philanthropy and community impact standard methodologies to join the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) team. Ferguson’s ESG team has strategic responsibility for the company’s ESG-related priorities and initiatives and works with business partners across the organization to implement and deliver relevant programs, results and reports.
As a member of the team, this individual will be responsible for grants management and administration, steward relationships with key community partners and support Ferguson’s overall ESG strategy, with particular focus on Ferguson Cares. The role will also work to identify and coordinate associate volunteer opportunities in the communities Ferguson serves.
Responsibilities:
Grant Management and Administration
- Run online grants management platform for corporate giving program, ensuring a streamlined and functional application for grant seekers.
- Operationalize enhanced progress reporting process for grantees.
- Lead reporting process for aggregating impact data from grantees for reporting, ratings and rankings.
- Create reports summarizing giving on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Support enterprise-level social impact work by vetting charities, performing appropriate research and conducting site visits
- Lead relationship with and oversight of grants management vendor to ensure high quality service, collaborating on site improvements, configurations, enhancements, etc.
- Support inquiries from community partners on payment status, application questions, etc.
- Enhance corporate reputation by ensuring donor benefits and recognition opportunities are activated (signage, logos, web recognition, coordinating associate volunteers / event attendees, etc.).
Community Impact and Partner Management:
- Curate content that drives brand awareness, enhances company reputation and contributes to purposeful storytelling.
- Represent Ferguson at local community events.
- Maintain website and platform systems (including, but not limited to, Ferguson’s Associates in Action volunteer portal, emergency assistance program, grants application portal, etc.) and respond to questions/problems on system and procedures
- Coordinate design, updates and maintenance of website and online presence. Create templates, forms, and dashboards required to support processes and governance for the program.
- Work with community partners to identify and facilitate associate volunteer activities.
- Oversee Ferguson’s scholarship program, including program management, process documentation, project scheduling and timelines and communication.
Qualifications:
- B.A. in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of related work experience in the philanthropic, corporate, or nonprofit sectors.
- Knowledge of grants administration and management standard methodologies.
- Familiar with web-based grants administration platforms, databases, etc.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 Tools and Capabilities, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build partnerships and thoughtfully steward relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Strong social skills and professional presence.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable, running projects with differing objectives, milestones and deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results with a strong sense of urgency in a constantly evolving environment.
