This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team under the Office of the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO). The Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility, will manage FMC’s Corporate Social Responsibility program with a focus on executing an annual giving strategy that is aligned with FMC’s core sustainability pillars and delivers maximum impact across our global community. This person will partner with Sustainability leadership and key internal stakeholders to identify strategic alignment opportunities for Corporate sustainability and philanthropy initiatives. They will build and manage partnerships with organizations within the non-profit and public sectors, ensuring philanthropic investments effectively address the needs of FMC communities around the world.
The Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility will also be responsible for managing, strengthening, and expanding Program infrastructure globally, including the Company’s employee giving platform and employee and community engagement opportunities. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, highly collaborative, creative, and enjoy working in a results-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage FMC’s annual strategic giving agenda and philanthropy budget
- Manage strategic initiatives that support FMC’s community engagement strategy
- Identify and manage key philanthropy partnerships and initiatives that support FMC’s sustainability strategy, including but not limited to initiatives that further FMC’s commitment to social justice and race equity
- Develop, manage and execute employee volunteer programs that further enhance FMC’s philanthropic mission and focus; identify opportunities for employee engagement
- Amplify FMC’s philanthropic and advocacy efforts, coordinating closely with HR and the Corporate Communications team, including drafting CSR-related communications
- Manage the end-to-end process of philanthropic giving, including application, review and approval of donation/grant requests
- Establish metrics to track, evaluate and report on the company’s philanthropy initiatives, ensuring efforts and investments effectively address broader strategic imperatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years related experience in philanthropy, corporate giving, or managing a corporate social responsibility program
- High level stakeholder and/or portfolio management experience across non-profit and public sectors
- Experience working in a large global, matrixed organization
- Excellent project management skills with an ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects efficiently and simultaneously
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a high bias for action
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; comfortable with ambiguity
