Position Overview:

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is a global, luxury hotel management company. We manage over 100 hotels and resorts and 44 private residences in 45 countries around the world and growing. At Four Seasons, we are powered by people and our culture enables everything we do.

The Manager, ESG Reporting and Engagement will oversee Four Seasons’ internal and external ESG reporting and engagement, playing a critical role in driving progress towards the company’s ESG objectives. They will work with relevant cross-departmental teams to build an impactful engagement strategy that will enable transparent, authentic and impactful communication of our environmental and social efforts.

This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Vice President, ESG. This role involves interactions with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.

Key Activities

  • Build and execute Four Seasons ESG communications and engagement strategy.
  • Oversee Four Seasons’ annual external ESG reporting, including ESG Report, website, and third party reporting (including responding to corporate clients).
  • Manage external ESG reporting, including aligning with best-in-class sustainability reporting frameworks, gathering stories from hotel teams, developing impactful reporting metrics, drafting content, and managing vendors (design firms, website teams, etc.).
  • Develop processes for measuring internal and external engagement around Four Seasons ESG program.
  • Build business-relevant internal tracking, communications, and training processes for regions and departments to measure and manage ESG engagement.
  • Support development of ESG engagement and storytelling tools, including story banks, training programs and playbooks.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams within Four Seasons to empower all of our employees and guests to participate in our ESG programs.

Experience, Education and Professional Qualifications

  • Degree in ESG-related field, sustainability, critical writing and/or communications preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, TCFD, SASB) and indices (e.g., CDP, Sustainalytics)
  • Experience with various forms of communication platforms, including SharePoint, social media, print media, etc.
  • Experience with social impact issues, including human rights is an asset
