Position Overview:
Job Description
The Senior Analyst of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Controls Modernization will partner cross-functionally with other teams to enhance and modernize processes, documentation, and technology solutions for ESG disclosures used in external reporting. ESG reporting provides transparency on how an organization contributes to sustainable development, and this innovative role provides a unique opportunity to make meaningful changes to the processes to collect, review, report, and retain ESG information for timely, reliable, and consistent reporting.
Responsibilities
- Support process owners and providers of ESG information in documenting and enhancing internal controls over both financial and nonfinancial information.
- Conduct special projects to enhance controls around ESG reporting.
- Support process owners in establishing policies and procedures to collect, consolidate and validate both financial and nonfinancial disclosed information.
- Enhance and support the cadence for preparation, quality assurance, review and publishing of ESG information for timely and accurate reporting.
- Evaluate and integrate technology solutions where appropriate to support strengthening controls around ESG information.
- Participate in regulatory research, benchmarking and other activities to provide strategic insights to strengthen internal controls.
- Conduct an ongoing risk assessment of ESG disclosures based on stakeholder feedback and changes in the business.
- Establish and adopt ongoing inclusion assessment criteria for disclosure.
- Prepare and/or deliver periodic update reports for leadership, including the Chief Accounting Officer and the Audit Committee, when applicable.

Qualifications
- Graduate degree
- Approx. 4-8 years (or greater) of professional, applicable or accounting experience
- Demonstrated ability to work on unstructured assignments/special projects and identify process improvements
- Problem solving, critical thinking and analytical abilities
- Ability to identify, interpret and analyze potential risks and issues
- Willing to continuously learn and take on additional responsibilities, attend training, and learn new technical skills related to ESG matters
- Professional Certification (preferred)

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to integrate knowledge in audit, internal controls, new account standard adoption, data tools, financial system implementation and/or change management
- Passion for innovation, automation, and technology
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across business and service lines
- Ability to continuously learn and intellectual curiosity
