Position Overview:

Are you an accomplished Sustainability champion, interested in working for a 5000+ employee global software company with a new and driven Sustainability team, that will develop and deliver complex solutions to drive the company’s strategy forward? If so, this is the role for you.

At Genesys we are ushering in a new era of consumer hyper-personalization leveraging our Cloud, AI and 3B+ daily interactions with consumers. Our Sustainability team is a strategic and key contributor to the employee and company success.

What this role is:

You will work with a team, supporting the sustainability strategy across the organization. This person will work across all levels and functions within the company to deliver against our sustainability goals. This is a critical role, with a focus on driving end-to-end strategies that impact our employees, customers and communities. You’ll report to the Global Sustainability Officer.

What this role isn’t:

This is not a static role. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader experienced in addressing very real business issues with leaders related to environmental and social issues. You will work directly on driving sustainable changes tour business operations, innovations, supply chain and community engagement, all while navigating scale for an agile and quickly evolving company.

What you’ll bring to the table:

We are looking for someone with a true global perspective – although US-headquartered, we have more employees internationally than domestically. You must have international exposure or experience, be technically adept at your craft, and possess fantastic people skills as we need someone to lead, listen and partner, consider the issues at hand, and connect the dots at scale.

Some details about what you’ll do:

  • Assist with implementing global sustainability strategies, policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with leaders to understand their business challenges
  • Lead implementation of initiatives to meet or exceed Genesys’s sustainability goals.
  • Collaborate on community engagement.
  • Partner with procurement to gather insights and data to drive sourcing decisions and prepare for sustainability reporting
  • Collaborate to develop industry leading people solutions to global problems
  • Drive employee engagement activities through periods of significant change
  • Assist with internal communications
  • Lead development and rollout of employee sustainability training and education
  • Lead both internal and external sustainability surveys process
  • Various other projects and tasks as required

Minimum requirements:

  • You should have a degree. But we value experience more. A lot of it. You will need at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior public company experience is a plus – those people know how to dot the i and cross the t.
  • Hands on corporate responsibility, sustainability and/or corporate philanthropy program development experience in a global organization.
  • Experience running or developing sustainability supplier management programs and leading data analysis projects using tools like problem-solving and value stream mapping.
  • Collaborator who is adaptable and eager to lead change or transformation.
  • You must be a good communicator, partner, influencer and be committed to customer service. People who are difficult to work with or just want to do their own thing don’t do well here.
  • Advanced analytical skills, mastery of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with a fast-paced, agile and accountable organization.
  • Ability to travel to key Genesys offices as needed (once it is deemed safe to do so).
