The ESG Reporting Analyst is a critical member of the Living Progress team which is responsible for advancing the company’s environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) reputation with the key influencers and stakeholder groups that our customers and investors turn to. You will be part of a team that drives our team’s overall strategy and operations, and most specifically, our global ESG strategy and governance, year-over-year ESG performance and disclosure improvements, and strategic analysis of rapidly evolving ESG issues and regulations.
This individual will work collaboratively across the business to track progress and report our performance, action plans, management approaches, policies, and ESG disclosures. This will include responding to key rating and ranking indices, coordinating global and country-level ESG disclosures, and supporting the continued establishment and measurement of progress against formal ESG goals. The candidate will also support the creation and tracking of key ESG performance metrics and dashboards to ensure HPE’s ESG performance is accurately communicated to key internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have three years of experience in the ESG/sustainability field and will demonstrate strong data analysis skills, project management experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. This role will work across multiple cross-functional teams to drive impact, enhance reputation, and contribute to business success.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to ESG rating agencies and external surveys to enhance performance across key ratings (e.g., submissions to CDP, EcoVadis, and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index)
- Monitor ESG disclosure standards (e.g., SASB, TCFD, UN SDGs) to ensure alignment; track emerging ESG regulations and development of strategies to address them across the business
- Coordinate data collection and draft content for mandatory ESG disclosures including country-specific reports
- Conduct detailed industry and company-wide reporting gap analyses to identify opportunities for HPE, benchmark against best practices, and recommend program improvements to advance progress and recognition
- Oversee ESG impact metrics tracking across SME teams and strategies, monitor progress toward externally stated goals, and develop/maintain internal dashboards, slide decks, and reports necessary to support ESG strategy, sustainable finance opportunities, and team key results
- Work with data and auditing team to verify the metrics and data related to ESG reporting and disclosures
- Develop and maintain issue briefs for key ESG topics to ensure messaging and data consistency across the company
- Produce materials for internal business reviews, strategy council meetings, and for use by senior management in meetings with investors, customers, and other key stakeholders
- Develop a mechanism for regularly mapping stakeholders and tracking partner engagement
- Maintain inventory of HPE policies and standards related to ESG issues
- Partner with Global Communications to amplify awards, rankings, and other ESG-related accolades
- Routinely benchmark company relative to stakeholder requirements, including marketplace and trends reviews to keep ahead of emerging issues and opportunities
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- BA or BS in Statistics, Sciences, or other ESG-related discipline.
- Three years of experience in relevant roles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience in data tracking, analysis and management
- Experience with non-financial reporting and ESG standards and reporting frameworks, including GRI, SASB, TCFD, SDGs
- Familiarity with ESG rating indices and sustainable finance trends
- Experience in the valuation and definition of KPIs and how to align with business goals
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and develop deep content knowledge quickly
- Experience in energy management, carbon accounting and/or human capital a plus
- Additional skills in technology, finance, and systems-level thinking a plus
Attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required
- Basic knowledge in the field of public affairs and/or government relations.

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $46,300.00 – $98,100.00
