Function: Supply Management / Logistics
Title: Manager, Supplier Sustainability and Clean Energy Programs – 86526
Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position
This position may be located in Moline, IL, Des Moines, IA or at another John Deere facility in the United States, per the hiring manager’s discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate’s background, experience, and proficiency.
This position is eligible for partial remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Manager, Supplier Sustainability and Clean Energy Programs for Deere & Company located in Moline, IL, you will….
- Develop market solutions and supplier support program to meet Deere’s 2030 Leap Ambitions for Operations and Supplier GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions
- Drive key improvements to supplier GHG metrics, and develop glide path and metrics for product circularity (supplier materials) targets
- Support and execute some energy/clean energy procurement and energy management initiatives globally

What Skills You Need
- 5 or more years of experience in energy, engineering, business, supply management, or other program management
- Planning and project management
- Strong verbal and presentation skills
- Strong MS Office suite skills including presentation of data
- Technical aptitude in the areas of energy business or engineering
What Makes You Stand Out
- Data management and analytics, with emphasis on ability to communicate key messages
- Energy industry experience (development, operations, procurement, markets and regulatory)
- Experience in multiple company functional areas (e.g. supply management, product or manufacturing engineering, EHS, accounting and finance)
- Knowledge of GHG principles, GHG accounting protocol, energy and GHG management
- Knowledge of environmental and social sustainability topics and metrics
- Diverse supply management experience including Direct, Indirect Materials & Services, and Logistics
- Product or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Corporate goal development, measurement, and achievement
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or Supply Management or equivalent degree
