Position Overview:
The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) comprises multiple global functions that support JPMorgan Chase’s businesses in 60 countries, including Global Real Estate, Global Security, Strategic Initiatives, Corporate Aviation and Corporate and Site Services.
The Operational Sustainability team coordinates groups across the CAO, including Global Real Estate, Global Supplier Services, Amenity Services, Global Business and Document Services, and Site Services, to develop and execute the firm’s strategy to minimize the environmental impact of our operations and supply chain. The team is seeking an Associate to support implementation of the firm’s operational sustainability strategy and initiatives. Through this work, the team manages several key priorities, including energy and carbon footprint optimization, sustainable buildings, responsible sourcing, resource management, and transparency and engagement.
Job Description:
The Operational Sustainability Associate will have an important role in supporting the team on a diverse range of initiatives, including:
- Tracking and reporting on progress against the firm’s operational sustainability targets
- Developing internal and external communications on operational sustainability efforts
- Defining and executing a sustainability-focused employee engagement strategy
- Developing insights and benchmarking on industry best practices
- Preparing business cases for CAO sustainability initiatives
- Creating, editing and formatting internal and external presentation decks, memos and talking points
Qualifications:
We are seeking a candidate with 2-3 years of professional experience and the following skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including attention to detail
- Proficiency in excel and background in finance or accounting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a small team and proactively cultivate relationships with a diverse range of internal and external partners
- Ability to work in a high-performance, professional environment, while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to connect and distill trends and insights
- Experience or interest in sustainability
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong initiative, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think creatively
