Position Overview:

ACCOUNTABILITIES

DEVELOP HIGH PERFORMING ASSOCIATES AND TEAMS

• Capitalizes on everyday on-the-job opportunities to coach associates to use their strengths to perform at their best
• Takes an active interest in building authentic relationships to engage associates
• Maintains an open and trusting team environment
• Communicates clear and consistent goals for the team

MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL BUSINESS PARTNERS

• Ensures integrity and clarity of information used for business planning and decision making
• Influences timely and accurate information sharing with and among business partners
• Advises business partners with well-researched recommendations and solutions

LEAD, DEVELOP, AND IMPLEMENT COMPANY SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

• Develop and enhance strategic Company Sustainability framework
• Influence all stakeholders including Associates, Customers and Investors on Sustainability and Company ESG framework
• Track, account and amplify measurements for third party rater Sustainable and ESG ratings
• Assures quality and precision in Sustainable and ESG research and analysis

DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT COMPANY STRATEGIES AND PROCESSES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE

• Develops organizational strategic and operational processes in environmental compliance, health and safety to stay in environmental compliance within Stores, Distribution facilities and Corporate offices at a local, state and federal level
• Drives organized compliance and business discipline
• Influences business leaders on effective and compliance business handling methodologies/processes
• Advises leaders on regulatory risk, impacts and solutions
• Engages industry resources to ensure Kohl’s remains compliant with existing and requirements

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Studies or related field
• 7+ years of related professional experience, preferably associate with retail / consumer brands
• Leadership/Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated experience and results in developing recommendations and strategic business solutions based on solid analysis

PREFERRED

• Progressive experience in Sustainability, Environmental Regulation and Compliance for a nationwide organization with multiple locations to consumers and logistics arms.
• Proven ability to deliver presentations to audiences of all internal and external levels
• Experienced in leading and influencing complex, cross-functional strategy and project teams
