About the Job
We are seeking a Manager of Sustainability Reporting & Transparency to ensure that LS&Co. is positioned for, and responsive to, the growing expectations for transparent reporting and disclosure on our sustainability and ESG approaches. Work collaboratively across all corporate functions to track progress and report our performance, action plans, management approaches, policies, and sustainability/ESG standard disclosures. Position reports to Senior Manager of Sustainability and is based in our San Francisco headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an internal system for disclosure management and prioritization including a repository of key qualitative and quantitative ESG metrics
- Coordinate engagement with internal partners across the business to gather, substantiate, and disclose key ESG data points with the goal of ensuring LS&Co. is aligned to relevant frameworks including GRI, SASB, and TCFD
- Engage all relevant departments to identify accountabilities and repeatable processes that assure expansion upon important data needs
- Support Investor Relations in LS&Co.’s engagement with and submissions to the formal evaluations conducted by ESG research and ratings firms including RobecoSAM, MSCI, Sustainalytics, S&P Global, Bloomberg, ISS, Moody’s (Vigeo Eiiris), and others
- Manage the development and publication of LS&Co.’s formal Sustainability Report including collaboration with Corporate Affairs on launch and our communications plans
- Oversee the submission of external surveys by engaging data providers, completing questions for which ready answers exist, and tracking to survey deadlines
- Benchmark our strategies, results, and performance with competition and industry best practices
- Position LS&Co. for the evolving regulations, standards, and frameworks for sustainability/ESG reporting and transparency
About You
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in similar roles; especially experience implementing similar programs in a corporate environment
- Experience with relevant Sustainability reporting and ESG standards, reporting frameworks, and rating and ranking organizations including GRI, SASB, TCFD, SDGs, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, etc.
- Expertise in collaborating and taking direction from investor relations teams and supervised interaction with analysts and the ESG rating firms
- You understand trends in sustainability/ESG disclosure expectations and how to plan for evolving expectations, can perform assessments of current performance, and develop recommendations for action
- Relationship development experience with a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and organizational functions
