The Opportunity
Marvell is recruiting an individual for a newly created Sr. Program Manager for an Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) role, to work with Marvell’s Ethics & Compliance Team in leading the execution and management of pragmatic and practical social responsibility programs across the Company’s global operations, and to create awareness of the Company’s efforts in this space.
This is a multi-dimensional, global, and enterprise-wide position. The vision is to grow the ESG Program by enhancing the Company’s overall commitment to ESG performance and transparency.
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the Sr. Program Manager will be part of the Legal Department and will work closely with attorneys and other professionals around the world.
Major Responsibilities
Programs, Policies, Processes
- To oversee the growth and implementation of the Company’s ESG objectives;
- To formulate and execute a proactive ESG strategy and to engage both internal and external stakeholders via various communication platforms in order to better fulfill the Company’s responsibility and enhance its ESG image;
- To plan, organize and drive various ESG initiatives for the enhancement of the Company’s ESG performance, including timely disclosure of its ESG performance in accordance with regulatory requirements;
- To develop and edit relevant ESG policies and to create self-service tools to effectively implement programs, communications and promotional materials, including reporting ESG progress internally and externally;
- To work with corporate communications and marketing to deliver the message of the Company’s commitment to ESG and ensure our messaging is consistent across business units, the Company’s global footprint, and throughout other corporate communications;
- To plan and promote events to engage employees and other stakeholders and raise awareness of ESG programs;
- To analyze data to track trends and initiate deep dives to detect opportunities; and
- To identify and cultivate relationships with global company peers engaged in companywide ESG initiatives.
About you:
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and diplomacy skills;
- Able to handle day-to-day issues (constantly thinking about how to invent and simplify to improve), and able to strategize on longer-term, program-wide initiatives;
- Superior creative writing ability as well as the ability to present your views in a clear and compelling manner;
- Strong influencing skills, as well as excellent collaboration skills, to engage with high-performance teams and colleagues in different functions and levels within in a diverse and global organization;
- Able to thrive in a proactive ethical culture in which ESG, ethics and compliance and business objectives are mutually reinforcing;
- A highly motivated team player who contributes to an atmosphere in which people work together, enthusiastically and effectively, to produce outstanding results;
- Possess an excellent sense of humor;
- A quick study; able to quickly scale and handle complex matters with multiple initiatives simultaneously; and
- Excited to engage in opportunities outside your comfort zone
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a major in ESG, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), communications, philanthropy, or related disciplines;
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience in human rights, environmental sustainability, or social responsibility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a publicly-traded technology company a plus;
