Job Description
The Manager – Global Sustainability, Restaurants & Customer Experience on Global Impact’s Sustainability & ESG team will operationalize and further evolve the sustainability strategy for packaging, waste, circularity, and other impact areas, through strategic engagement and coordination of partnerships (internal and external), project management, resource development, communications, and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operationalize and further evolve the sustainable strategy for packaging, waste, circularity, restaurants, climate, and other impact areas.
- Develop and drive key projects in service of achieving our public Packaging & Waste and Climate Commitments by 2025 and 2030. Manage all aspects of project including budget, working groups, best practice development, and direct engagement with markets.
- Create packaging, waste, circularity, and climate engagement tools, resources, and processes for global functions and markets.
- Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations. brand and menu communications and campaigns, and government relations, to bring this work to life for our customers.
- Identify new partnerships, opportunities, and technologies for scaling change in a global landscape.
- Responsible for packaging, waste, circularity reporting and metrics (internal and external), in partnership with the ESG team.
Qualifications
- Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience in the field of sustainability, science, sustainable built environment, corporate purpose or ESG-related field.
- Strong project management, influencing and engagement skills. Collaborative attitude and ability to work independently across global, virtual and cross-functional teams; Values-driven behavior.
- Degree in Sustainability, ESG-related field, Communications or Marketing preferred
*Can work out of Chicago, Boston, DC, New York, London, or Europe. Hybrid remote schedule available*
