Job Description
What You Will Do:

As the Sustainability Manager at Mediaocean, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining our environmental, social and corporate governance policies and procedures. Mediaocean has a robust DEI program and security & compliance procedures in place but tying them all together into the ESG umbrella and improving our environment initiatives will be a big part of this role.

This role will work with various teams, potentially clients and suppliers to define steps necessary to address any gaps that may arise and identify opportunities to add value and contribute to long-term development impact and sustainability worldwide.

The Sustainability Manager offers recommendations and requirements for actions and incorporates these into applicable internal and related documentation to facilitate proper corporate governance. The roles is responsible for helping create goals in regards to ESG best practices and standards, as well as monitoring our performance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build out our ESG policy
  • Create and maintain an ESG resource database/project plan to track our efforts
  • Improve our annual ESG assessment score
  • Help create and publish an annual sustainability report
  • Determine how our existing efforts fit into our overall ESG footprint
  • Help build and maintain our ESG intranet and internet pages
  • Help meet our 2022 ESG goals and then work to attain/beat those goals for 2023
  • Continue tracking our GHG emissions and help set reduction targets with an overall goal of achieving net zero by 2035
  • Create and/or enhance our ESG initiatives/projects
  • Collaborate with various departments through the organization
  • Help fill out client RFPs regarding sustainability/ESG policies we have in place
  • Identify opportunities to enhance our existing ESG efforts, budget associated and implementing a plan to get them done

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Master’s degree is preferred with a focus on ESG and sustainability
  • Two years of experience required, Four years preferred
  • Data driven, analytically minded
  • Proficient in excel, smartsheet or other project management tools is a plus
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities or last-minute requests
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • Curious and innovative
  • Passionate about sustainability and making our company and the world a better place
