Position Overview:

Meta’s Sustainability team drives sustainability strategy, programs and engagement across the company and with our partners. We seek a Sustainability Coordinator to manage research and communication for our Net Zero program and support the development and implementation of our carbon removal program.

Sustainability Coordinator, Net Zero Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead internal and external Net Zero team communications
  • Support the development and implementation of carbon removal program
  • Conduct due diligence of carbon removal projects and partnerships
  • Review and develop detailed analysis on relevant climate change literature, news, and research
  • Coordinate cross-functional team meetings, agendas and management of deliverables
  • Prepare briefing materials and presentations for internal teams on climate change topics and program initiatives
  • Support team with special projects including hi-priority deliverables, program partnerships, and events

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environment, sustainability, and biological sciences
  • 5+ years of work experience on climate change or sustainability-related communications
  • Communication skills
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects
  • Significant experience conducting due diligence for the procurement of carbon removal credits
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and work on emerging issues and projects
