In the Worldwide Commercial Business (WCB) we have an opportunity to broaden the impact of these sustainability efforts through customer and partner enablement. This will be accomplished by leveraging our own products and learnings as well as a growing number of sustainability solutions and services from our commercial partner ecosystem.

We are looking for a Sustainability Solutions Strategy Lead to be an integral part of driving these endeavours forward as part of a core WCB sustainability team. Success in this role will depend greatly on:

– A strong ability to interface and coordinate action with sustainability teams across the Microsoft organization

– The capacity to communicate insights, learning and vision with all levels of internal and external stakeholders

– Adopting a growth mindset including a willingness to experiment and fail fast in what is a quickly changing and entrepreneurial work environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Microsoft’s global sustainability technical sales strategy
  • Grow the technical sustainability-oriented skillsets of our field, customers and partners
  • Build a sustainability technical sales community focused on driving customer and partner engagements
  • Drive field, customer and partner communications and updates
  • Lead sustainability tracks at key 1st-party customer and partner events (e.g. MSReady, IoT Developer Summit, etc.) and land a strategy for 3rd-party customer and partner events
  • Enable the sale of 1st and 3rd party sustainability solutions by providing expertise and insights throughout the customer journey
  • Sustainability solutions technical compete execution for lift and shift and new ideation
  • Align WCB sustainability efforts with the broader company, interfacing with our product marketing, global sales & marketing, legal and engineering organizations
  • Act as a strong and credible technical subject matter expert both internally and externally on our 1st and 3rd party sustainability solutions
  • Technical advisory support of investments, innovation projects and business development projects

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing globally scalable solutions and measuring against sales KPIs
  • Experience in a technical skillset with a focus on Azure and integrations into the broader Microsoft platform
  • 7+ years professional experience in customer or partner-facing technology roles
  • Track record of developing globally scalable solutions and measuring against sales KPIs
  • Proven ability leading technical architectural design sessions and translating business requirements into technical flows, architectures and implementation planning
  • Experience organizing presentations from ideation to execution to a variety of audience technical skill levels
  • Passion for sustainability with experience working on sustainability solutions or projects a plus
  • Top-notch executive engagement skills with an ability to establish trusted advisor relationships with business decision makers
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, bringing a high level of enthusiasm, creativity, self-motivation, and resourcefulness
  • Plays well with others and thrives in cross-team environments
