The Headlines:
In the role of Sr Mgr Corp Sustainability/ESG working in Milwaukee, you oversee the implementation of the MCBC global ESG/Sustainability strategy working across the enterprise to develop and implement multi-year action plans with milestones and metrics. This role leads MCBC’s ESG/Sustainability related external reporting and requires ongoing monitoring and application of sustainability/ESG developments across the markets, jurisdictions, and stakeholders relevant to the MCBC global business. This role supports and participates in investor engagement, senior management decision making and board level updates and discussions.
This position reports to VP Sustainability & EHS.
The Responsibilities:
- Most importantly, you will lead a team of 1-2 talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
- Collaborative development and implementation of ESG/Sustainability roadmaps to deliver the Sr Management and Board approved 2025 and beyond strategic objectives for People & Planet (enterprise-wide)
- Responsible for leading external reporting strategy, data management and execution, with clear ‘why’ connected to business strategy (includes annual ESG
- Report, CDP submittals, other submittals to support MCBC sustainability commitments (e.g., UN Global Compact and CEO Water Mandate))
- Direct support of key sustainability/ESG initiatives such as supplier engagement, agricultural supply chain initiatives and R&D, business cases with direct and indirect sustainability benefits, etc.
- Competitive analyses, benchmarking, engagement with NGOs and other third-party organizations and thought leaders to inform the MCBC ESG/Sustainability strategy, implementation and internal/external engagement (e.g., BIER representative)
- Support Board, Investor, Governmental and Community engagement on ESG matters and drive internal/external communications, training, and education on MCBC ESG strategy and progress
The Other Qualifications:
- You are an authentic leader. You value and respect differences and believe diversity with inclusion is the key to collaboration and a winning team culture
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability or Engineering OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field
- You have at least 10-15 years experience in one or more areas of ESG/Sustainability along with influence, communications & management skills
- Strong strategy development and program management skills – bring top down / bottoms up together
- Ability to communicate and influence across levels, inside and outside the company
- Ability to analyze extensive and multiple (and conflicting) sources of information and extract key relevant information
- Knowledge and continuous learning mindset to keep MCBC ahead of the curve on ESG developments
- Operational experience and strong understanding of our supply chain operations and full value chain
- Deep expertise in one or more key environmental sustainability areas (climate, water, packaging, agriculture)
- You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
