Qualifications

Lead the development of Environmental Social Governance (ESG) strategy across the entire enterprise in collaboration with the VP of ESG & Belonging and the VP, ESG and Chief Communications Officer. Ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to identify priorities and ensuring NMG adheres to and accomplishes its ESG goals. Candidate has a proven track record in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, and understanding existing regulatory drivers across investment assets. Highly motivated, agile candidates with proven internal successes and/or relevant CSR/DEI experiences will be considered.

MAIN FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the integration of ESG across all departments within NMG enterprise
  • Collect, validate, calculate and aggregate ESG data for internal and external reporting needs
  • Develop and maintain Belonging, CSR and ESG scorecards, working in partnership with the manager of ESG and Belonging
  • Analyze ESG research reports and propose recommendations to the Executive Leadership team
  • Develop recommendations to enhance ESG reporting in line with retail industry developments
  • Foster a culture of sustainability through ongoing organizational communications and education
  • Create and implement communication strategies in collaboration with corporate partners, publicizing the company’s sustainability efforts
  • Serve as a change agent, utilizing data to shape and influence the organization’s perception and interest around ESG responsibility topics
  • Identify and promote unique Supplier Diversity opportunities that may lead to change in shareholder value
  • Be willing to operate across the full team of ESG and Communications based on business priorities and needs

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least six years of relevant experience in Corporate Social Responsibility, ESG and/or sustainability
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental standards: HIGG Index, Zero Discharge of Hazardous Materials (ZDHC), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), etc.
  • College Degree, Area of Study: Communications, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Economics desired
  • Effective problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Experience working for a private company (Familiarity with retail preferred, but not required)
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams and ESG analytics
  • Strong aptitude with handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to weigh competing priorities while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities
