Here’s how a Sustainability Project Coordinator for our U.S. Head Office in Denver,CO contributes to our team:
- Supports efforts to execute against PCL’s Sustainability Roadmap and Strategic Plan.
- Consolidates our tracking and reporting efforts for energy, carbon, and waste in our PCL owned and leased facilities and on our job sites across North America to support our Sustainability Roadmap.
- Provides reporting on our progress toward meeting the sustainability professional accreditation, education, and knowledge needs of PCL.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of low carbon strategies that will reduce energy consumption, contributing to PCL’s carbon reduction targets and reducing costs to support our Sustainability Roadmap.
- Develops and expand PCL’s sustainability knowledge through education while fostering best practices and developing talent throughout our districts.
- Supports the districts in providing our clients with the necessary expertise to assist them to profitability develop, design, construct, and operate projects to achieve the highest level of sustainability while meeting their goals.
- Contributes to the on-going development and refinement of our sustainability strategy and Roadmap.
- Develops partnerships and networks that can be used to enhance PCL’s portfolio of sustainability service offerings to our clients.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of the internal and external sustainability communications and marketing plan.
What you will bring to the role:
- Diploma or degree in engineering, architecture or business coupled with expertise and experience in the construction industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of construction, real estate development or manufacturing experience, with a focus in sustainable construction.
- Leed accreditation a plus.
- Proficient with conceptualizing and implementing data tracking and reporting processes and tools.
- Ability to envision and communicate creative, cost-effective, solutions to meet business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and proactively address challenges or gaps in the sustainable construction
- Strong customer service and solution provider abilities
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence effectively and implement organizational change.
- Willingness to travel throughout Canada and the United States.
