Position Overview:
Overview
PepsiCo products are enjoyed by consumers more than one billion times a day in more than 200 countries and territories around the world. PepsiCo generated more than $80 billion in net revenue in 2022, driven by a complementary beverage and convenient foods portfolio that includes Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Quaker, and SodaStream. PepsiCo’s product portfolio includes a wide range of enjoyable foods and beverages, including many iconic brands that generate more than $1 billion each in estimated annual retail sales.
Guiding PepsiCo is our vision to Be the Global Leader in Beverages and Convenient Foods by Winning with PepsiCo Positive (pep+). pep+ is our strategic end-to-end transformation that puts sustainability and human capital at the center of how we will create value and growth by operating within planetary boundaries and inspiring positive change for planet and people. For more information, visit www.pepsico.com.
Over the past year, we have accelerated our efforts to help make the food system more sustainable, regenerative and inclusive. From how we source ingredients, make and sell our products in a more sustainable way, inspire consumers through our iconic brands to make better choices for themselves and the planet; to how we support communities and improve livelihoods throughout our supply chain, we are embracing our role as a leader among our peers and in our communities.
pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) is the future of our organization – a strategic end-to-end transformation, with sustainability at the center of how we will create growth and value by operating within planetary boundaries and inspiring positive change for the planet and people. It is our roadmap for becoming the global leader in convenient foods and beverages and a leading actor in the transformation of the global food system.
Under our pep+ sustainability strategy, we’re driven by three ambitious pillars:
- Positive Agriculture+ where we’re working to source our crops and ingredients in ways that restore the earth and strengthens farming communities. Including spreading regenerative agriculture practices across seven million acres – an area approximately the size of our agricultural footprint.
- Positive Value Chain+ that will transform how we make products in a way that build a circular, inclusive economy while making a positive impact on the planet and people. Goals include achieving net-zero emissions across our value chain by 2040, net water positive by 2030, and a sustainable packaging agenda, targets, and vision to create a world where packaging never becomes waste.
- Positive Choices+ that is inspiring people, through brands to make choices that create more smiles for them and the planet every day. Including goals to accelerate our reduction of added sugars and sodium using science-based targets across our portfolio and offering more products with healthier oils by 2025.
As well as being good for our business, working to realize this purpose is also the right thing to do. Where our food system may be operating in an unsustainable way, it can create supply chain, operational, and financial risks for our company. By contrast, addressing risks within our value chain and the wider food system effectively can create new opportunities for competitive advantage and future market growth, while also supporting the communities in which we operate.
The Associate Manager plays a critical role in our Positive Agriculture agenda. This role will provide effective project management to all the Positive Agriculture initiatives in the U.S., including coordinating and managing partners and other stakeholders in execution and liaising closely with PepsiCo internal teams and other stakeholders as needed.
