Position Overview:
The Sr. Manager, Sustainability will lead the creation of a cross-functional working group focused on forming a strategic plan for establishing sustainability goals and implementing tactics to achieve short- and long-term targets. This person will partner with the Global Sustainability function in Austria and other local business functions as well as benchmark industry organization standards to implement sustainable policies and initiatives. This person is also responsible for maintaining visibility to the horizon of topics and influences in the sustainability space, ensuring adherence to all laws and industry regulations.

- Integrate and drive sustainability strategies across Red Bull North America.
- Partner with Global and local stakeholders to implement sustainability programs, policies and procedures.
- Lead the execution of the Red Bull sustainability/CO2 roadmap in RBNA and RBDC.
- Lead the creation and implementation of a sustainability cross-functional working group.
- Act as subject matter expert on environmental and social sustainability within Red Bull North America.
- Ensure sustainability commitments and targets are appropriately embedded into key tools, systems and ways of working.
- Represent and communicate the sustainability strategy among other senior leadership functions to drive integration and accountability as a critical component of business success.
- Advance sustainability practices and philosophy into relevant operations across organizational boundaries.
- Partner with the Red Bull Regulatory team to review both current and future local sustainability regulatory requirements and inform local and Global stakeholders as necessary.
- Own data collection of sustainability metrics and report as necessary to internal and external stakeholders including Global counterparts, senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Identify and mitigate risk, and anticipate new risks associated with Sustainability.
- Influence both internal and external stakeholders on the importance of Sustainability initiatives.
- Build an effective network to understand common Sustainability challenges internally and across our industry to enable proactive positioning and strategy development.
- Initiate and respond to inquiries from internal and external teams regarding Red Bull sustainability practices. Special focus on customer requests.
- Advise on legal requirements for sustainability currently in place and help prepare for requirements that will go into effect in the near future.
EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
- At least 5 – 10 years of experience of direct leadership or cross-functional team leadership.
- Experience managing sustainability initiatives and projects.
- Experience establishing partnerships with suppliers, NGO’s and industry bodies.
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization such as peers, internal/external stakeholders, business partners, and senior leadership.
- Experience in developing, recommending and implementing improvements to resolve problems.
- Subject matter knowledge and expertise of environmental and social sustainability in food/beverage industries.
- Experience working with facilities, events, supply chain and logistics sustainability efforts.
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding sustainability requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree
- English, additional languages an advantage
- Travel 20-30%
