Qualifications
We are looking for a Sustainability Programs Specialist to lead Rheem’s engagement efforts with internal and external sustainability stakeholders. The Specialist will manage our global sustainability Inspired People programs, including sustainability training for the trade and our GoodWorks employee program. He /she will also drive the development of an annual sustainability report, Rheem’s annual Global Sustainability Summit and create content for sustainability-focused marketing & communications. The Specialist will work closely with the Creative Brand Manager to ensure Rheem brand-specific standards are upheld and regularly liaise with Communications, Government Affairs, BU Marketing teams and external stakeholders. This role will report to the Director, Sustainability & Brand Strategy.
A successful candidate will demonstrate strong self-starter characteristics and the ability to collaborate across various internal functions as well as with external vendors. He/she is results-oriented and enjoys managing a variety of projects (with strategic guidance).

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Manage enterprise sustainability marketing efforts including an annual global sustainability progress report & video and quarterly updates to Rheem’s sustainability web pages.
Manage enterprise sustainability communications efforts including:
External: Quarterly thought leadership articles, award / conference applications and liaise with the communications teams on social posts
Internal: Yammer posts, Intranet content and liaise with the communications teams on enterprise emails
Manage, drive and track progress on Rheem’s global sustainability people programs / events:
Sustainability training for the trade
GoodWorks employee program & sustainability steering committees
Annual Sustainability Summit
Represent Enterprise Sustainability team at global GoodWorks Ambassador meetings and track business unit updates
Liaise with Rheem’s Creative Brand Manager to ensure brand-specific visual standards are upheld.
Ensures accurate and on-brand messaging is being used across Rheem’s sustainability marketing efforts
Contribute to Rheem’s global materiality research across multiple internal & external audiences
Build and maintain strong relationships globally with sustainability training & steer co leads to ensure alignment and encourage progress
Track sustainability metrics including, but not limited to quarterly sustainability training performance and GoodWorks / Sustainability Steering Committee meetings
Gather competitive intelligence on sustainability marketing / communications, sustainability reports and Inspired People programs & commitments.
WHAT YOU NEED
Bachelor’s degree; ideally in sustainability, marketing, communications or a like field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a global organization with hands-on sustainability marketing / communications experience and project management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite and Adobe Acrobat
Excellent project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Experience working with marketing agencies and other third-party vendors
Superb verbal and written communication skills with aptitude for breaking down complex ideas into simple terms.
Strong critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Organized, with superior attention to detail and initiative to actively pursue high levels of performance
A strong understanding of print and digital implementation methods
Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and thrive in a collaborative and team-oriented environment to accomplish objectives.
Able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive material and information
Ability to influence key internal stakeholders at various levels through strategic engagement and building a business case for sustainability projects
Ability to travel domestically (limited)
Experience working at a manufacturing company or related knowledge (preferred)
