Position Overview:
The Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Program Coordinator is a key member of the team who carries out a variety of support, operations, and administrative tasks related to carbon offset verification. Carbon offset project types include forestry (reforestation, improved forest management, REDD), blue carbon (wetlands, mangroves), grasslands, meadows, landfills, livestock, agriculture, electric vehicles, campus sustainability, and others.
The SCS GHG Verification Program is a leader in the field of carbon offset verification, having verified over 250 million tonnes of CO2-e since 2008. It is the recipient of the Best Verification Company reward as recently as 2018.
Areas of responsibility include coordination and operations, program quality, administration, and assistance in business development. At the direction of the GHG Program Manager, and in conjunction with the GHG Program Director, the GHG Program Coordinator will work to support forestry and non-forestry related activities of the Greenhouse Gas Verification Program and assist with other responsibilities, as needed. For the right candidate and commensurate with background and goals, the opportunity to explore growth opportunities and advancement into other roles will be provided.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to existing, new, and potential U.S. and international clients
- Assist with preparation of proposals and project budgets
- Ensure documentation related to auditing (e.g. work orders, contracts, reports) is property executed and maintained
- Organize and maintain file systems and client database
- Schedule and coordinate verification audits; process contractor invoices
- Assist in development of new verification tools (e.g. templates and checklists)
- Support the maintenance of the ISO accreditation and quality system management
- Review and edit program documents
- Support the program team with travel arrangements and manage team equipment
- Assist with outreach and marketing to new clients and for development of new business areas
- Assist with project budgets and proposals
- Assist verifiers with quality and administrative tasks to carry out verifications in an efficient manner
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
