The ESG Manager position will support our growing ESG Consulting Services practice and will be responsible for leading client accounts and technical projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in the corporate ESG/sustainability space with a focus on at least one of the following ESG topics:

• GHG Accounting and Carbon Reduction

• Stakeholder Mapping & Engagement

• Sustainability Reporting Standards and Frameworks
• Sustainability Marketing & Brand Development
• Climate Equity & Health
• Responsible Sourcing

As part of the Summit Strategy Group team, you will:

• Be part of a dynamic consulting firm with potential for growth and professional development.
• Serve as a project manager and subject matter expert on ESG topics and trends for our diverse client portfolio.
• Work with the senior team to develop new business proposals and participate in new business pitches.
• Assist with company marketing and thought leadership on ESG issues including blogs, social media activity and editorial content.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include:

• Account Management: Oversee client accounts, manage project deliverables, and build client relationships.
• Strategy: Help to develop sustainability goals and execute ESG strategies for clients across a diverse set of industries.
• Analysis: Support technical projects like greenhouse gas accounting, climate risk analysis, materiality assessments, and responsible sourcing programs.
• Reporting & Disclosure: Assist with the development of ESG reporting and disclosures using frameworks like the
• Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)
• Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD)
• Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
• The UN Global Compact
• CDP
• UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs)
• World Economic Forum (WEF)

Logistics to Consider:

• Location: The position is remote and can be based anywhere. The option of working out of Summit Strategy Group’s Sacramento office is also available.
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Ability to Travel: Up to 30% as needed.
