What does the Sustainability Manager do at Swire Coca-Cola, USA?

We are looking for a Sustainability Manager to influence and guide our approach to Swire Coca-Cola’s sustainability program. The Manager of Sustainability will report to the Director of Sustainability. This individual will assist in setting the company’s Environmental strategy, roadmaps, goals, and lead projects that drive the implementation, communications, and integration of sustainable practices across the company. Serve as subject matter expert and partner with Manufacturing, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Swire Coca-Cola global team. We are looking for a candidate to drive these initiatives while enhancing our business performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the collaboration with manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing facilities sustainability performance
  • Lead the identification, planning and execution of new or enhanced methods and processes that help the company meet its sustainability goals, specific focus on water, energy, and waste reduction
  • Develop and lead sustainability training for all departments with special focus on Sales Team
  • Represent Swire Coca-Cola, USA with internal and external organizations
  • Support the Swire Coca-Cola Sustainable Development Strategy and implementation
  • Create enhanced glidepath methodology to achieving goals, continually assess and update the database and metrics communicate those throughout the company
  • Perform research, analysis, provide recommendations and lead the implementation of environmental sustainability projects and process improvements
  • Technical lead for both Swire Coca-Coca and The Coca-Cola Company software data management system
  • Identify innovative ways to visualize data which track the company’s progress against sustainability targets for the benefit of the business
  • Support the Communications and Government affairs team in their role of advocating for the company’s position; Produce and/or review company’s public comments on environmental sustainability policy and programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in a related field
  • 8+ years’ direct experience in implementing sustainability frameworks and initiatives
  • Strong understanding of advanced concepts of conservation and sustainable development
  • Basic understanding of industry environmental standards
  • Data Management experience
  • Solid understanding of sustainability concepts
