The CSR team is seeking an Enterprise ESG and Sustainability Manager to play an important role in developing and implementing T-Mobile’s enterprise-wide sustainability and ESG reporting strategies. Working across T-Mobile business units and corporate groups, this position will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in ESG data governance and controls and supporting the implementation, management, and measurement of sustainable business practices across the company.

This role requires somebody with proven experience in developing systems and processes to support high-quality ESG data and disclosures and implementing sustainability strategies for large corporations. You have strong presentation and interpersonal skills and work easily and collaboratively across all levels and different departments; you possess the agility to synthesize and communicate complex ESG topics and data to a diverse set of partners; and finally, you thrive in an entrepreneurial driven environment and are not afraid to push the boundaries of what’s possible to change the world for GOOD.

** This position can be based in either Bellevue, WA or Overland Park, KS **

Responsibilities:

  • Manage enterprise-wide, non-financial ESG data collection, consolidation, controls, and assurance processes. Includes working collaboratively across the business to create a centralized process for tracking and reporting for all ESG data, coordinating internal and external assurance on ESG disclosures, providing all supporting documentation, and reporting on T-Mobile’s performance.
  • Lead the collection and aggregation for all ESG reporting metrics for GRI, SASB and other ESG frameworks as identified by the CSR team, and support ESG disclosures in Financial Reporting.
  • Work across business units and corporate groups to support the implementation, management, and measurement of sustainable business practices that supports enterprise-wide sustainability strategy; Provide a forum for collaboration and co-creation to develop new goals as well as advance tracking and progress on current sustainability goals.
  • Continuously analyze industry trends, emerging requirements, and sustainability practices around key topics such as greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy, waste, sustainable product design, resource conservation, climate resiliency, etc. Distill insights, develop, and align on the case for change with leaders and key internal partners.
  • Create internal and external presentations for quarterly Sustainability Steering Committees, ESG board updates, and senior leadership meetings.
  • Be a flexible, optimistic, engaging, and authentic teammate that jumps in where needed to help a fast-moving team and department do important, meaningful, and fun work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environment, Sustainable Business, or related field.
  • 4-7 years working in the sustainability space with proven experience in developing and supporting high-quality ESG data reporting and governance practices.
  • Experience with reporting to ESG frameworks, including GRI and SASB.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of environmental issues, particularly related to climate change strategy and reporting. Proven competency for environmental-related analytics. You are comfortable analyzing environmental data around carbon, footprint reductions, LCAs, and interpreting results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to lead complex projects across all levels and bring different teams and functions together to achieve objectives.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to make the case for change using data and analytics. Your style is authentic, engaging, and motivating.
  • A strong attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines and juggle competing priorities.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
