Position Overview:
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Sustainability to…
- Research external industries & global trends and conduct competitive analysis in order to identify white space opportunities and make recommendations for application within brands/business.
- Influence and liaise across the corporation to create partnerships, drive alignment, and achieve results.
- Track and manage data to demonstrate progress toward sustainability targets.
- Assist in annual corporate reporting (e.g. GRI Index, ESG surveys, conflict minerals) and carbon accounting.
- Support the maintenance of Tapestry, Inc. policies and resource materials through ongoing monitoring of environmental and product regulation/legislation both locally and globally, ensuring
- Tapestry’s policies and programs are comprehensive and competitive.
- Develop ideas to support internal and external communications to engage customers and employees, specifically those related to our 2025 Goals such as energy and waste, as well as develop recommendations for updates to Tapestry’s Our Social Fabric microsite.
- Support the roll out, adoption, and implementation of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) tools (e.g. Facility Environmental Module, Brand/Retailer Module, etc.).
- Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives and programs within our owned and operated buildings, such as waste and energy, as well as those related to our products, such as materials and traceability.
- Coordinate and track updates on our 2025 Goals and team project plans.
- Help to create documents aimed at educating internal and external teams (including designers, supply chain and licensees) and streamlining processes across global brands.
The accomplished individual will possess…
- At least one year of experience in Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility, ESG, Business and/or Supply Chain management.
- A B.A./B.S. in a relevant field; Advanced degree not required, but a plus.
- Strong research, analytical and writing skills; clear verbal and written communication.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including ability to synthesize data and information and offer recommendations/solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, etc.). Data management and data visualization a plus.
