Position Overview:

Tiffany & Co.’s Sustainability team sets and leads all aspects of the sustainability strategy for the organization. The team acts as a sustainability center of excellence that tracks emerging issues, provides input and mentorship to key internal functions, and fuels new commitments or initiatives to drive the Maison’s leadership position in Sustainability. We partner with collaborators across Tiffany & Co. to progress our 2025 Sustainability Goals and align with LVMH (Louis Vuitton, Moët, Hennessy) LIFE360 environmental targets. Focus areas include sharing the origins of our primary raw materials to investing in the artisans who craft our jewelry, protecting the natural world by taking bold action on climate change and protecting the earth’s precious places for generations to come through Tiffany & Co. corporate philanthropy and The Tiffany & Co. At Tiffany & Co. we strive to set the standard for sustainable luxury, from sharing the origins of our primary raw materials to investing in the artisans who craft our jewelry. The Manager, Product Traceability, reporting to the head of Global Sustainability, develops and deploys traceability programs across key materials that meet Tiffany & Co. sustainability commitments, align with LVMH priorities and support global regulatory requirements. The Manager partners with key internal functions to draft and implement processes to improve visibility to key raw materials, evaluate certification requirements and explore significant social impact programming in the supply chain.

Location: This position is in-person at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

Drive Tiffany & Co. global traceability strategy

  • Progress current public traceability goals; assess and make the case for new priority traceability commitments on ongoing basis
  • Lead Tiffany & Co. traceability strategy, drive stakeholder engagement, partner with Responsible Sourcing to kick off initiatives (Responsible Sourcing to own implementation)
  • Liaise with LVMH commercial and environmental teams to influence Group traceability strategy
  • Develop processes to embed Sustainability in key material sourcing decision-making
  • Consult on supply chain transparency software platform selection and software strategy development
  • Represent Tiffany & Co. in external stakeholder working groups
  • Keep informed on global trends in supply chain and anticipate risks material to the business

Develop strategy for social impact programming in the supply chain

  • Evaluate impact of current corporate philanthropy grants, Maison and LVMH investments and supplier commitments
  • Build case for targeted engagement that complements traceability initiatives and builds on Tiffany & Co. legacy leadership at the vanguard of sustainable luxury
  • Progress social impact initiatives that support the well-being of the people who contribute to the crafting of Tiffany & Co. product

Develop mechanisms for assessing impacts and support progress reporting to ensure initiative teams deliver their milestones and develop countermeasures early as needed

  • Partner with the Manager, Sustainability Impact Measurement and Marketing colleagues to draft and publish impact updates for expert and client audiences
  • Monitor and evaluate trends, competitive activities and constantly evolving market requirements with regards to Sustainability, assess relevance for Tiffany & Co. and translate into need for strategic action to ensure continued Sustainability leadership
  • Take on other work of the Sustainability & Philanthropy department as well as special projects and timely issues as needed

The hiring range for this position ranges from $117,810 – $150,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in sustainability or responsible sourcing role in the private sector, an NGO working with business, or a top-tier consulting firm.
  • Shown experience executing on a private sector organization’s sustainability strategy
  • Excellent grasp of sustainability concepts as well as emerging trends and concepts
  • Proven track record to independently lead complex projects with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience effectively influencing without authority
  • Innovative approach to problem solving; eager iterate on ideas, prototype and test solutions
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; ability to succinctly synthesize information and offer recommendations/solutions
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills for interaction with key leadership functions
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates ownership, works independently
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in both written and conversational English
  • Microsoft office skills, including PowerPoint, are critical
  • Great teammate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving traceability in raw materials relevant to watches and jewelry
  • Experience working in a luxury or other retail company with high-profile consumer brands
  • Familiarity with the current industry certification landscape
