Position Overview:

SUMMARY

The position is responsible for the overall administration, coordination and process of corporate responsibility at VENUS and various HR functions. The role will develop programs to improve sustainability and develop a culture of corporate responsibility and sustainability at Venus. This position is responsible for monitoring the company’s environmental impact and advocates for ways to improve it.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Monitor and evaluate, in collaboration with the expert teams and partners, organization’s production, manufacturing, shipping and receiving processes as they relate to sustainability and environmental impact regulation compliance-
• Ensure the company upholds and works towards finding new, innovative and economically reductive ways to stay green
• Conducts analysis and reporting for sustainability measurements at VENUS.
• Identify inefficiencies or areas where the company can improve their environmental impact
• Establish key performance indicators in alignment with Otto partners to monitor and assess progress towards achieving company goals. Help monitor trends and recommend focused approaches and ensure we are aligned with established initiatives.
• Design and implement strategies which help a company reduce resource use, energy use, pollution, and waste.
• Ensure company’s compliance with all state and federal environmental statutes and regulations
• Maintain sustainability budget
• Partners with Otto group and BonPrix to incorporate sustainability practices and set conservation and environmental goals
• Support requests related to strategy and general administrative requirements, including project launches, program monitoring, communication, trade shows/events, stakeholder meetings and presentations to Sr. Leadership
• Lead training sessions or workshops on sustainability practices for employees
• Is a model of company values
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned based business needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong analytics and reporting skills with 4+ years’ experience required
• Passion for corporate responsibility and sustainability with a min of 4+ years’ experience with sustainability and working to achieve a goal of becoming carbon footprint neutral.
• Experience with, and understanding of, determining the weight of the component and the impact with regards to carbon footprints and sustainability initiatives and being able to define priorities around this.
• Experience in developing and managing vendor partnerships.
• Exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills (both internal and external). Communications both written, and verbal must represent our company and brand interests
• Must positively advocate on behalf of the company to both internal and external partners
• Demonstrated success partnering with leaders of enterprise-wide business process transformation and innovation.
• Proven success serving as a strong change agent and leader, with a track record of designing phenomenal employee experiences
• Knowledge and experience in reporting and data mining techniques. Experience in sustainability reporting, metrics and schemes a plus.
• Attention to detail and data accuracy required. Must possess strong research and analytical skills, as well as writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to problem solve, deliver results support projects from planning to execution phase, including tracking deliverables and timelines and measuring impacts.
