What you’ll do…

Walmart InHome delivers fresh groceries directly into customers’ kitchen or garage fridges. We’re a scrappy and entrepreneurial team that’s obsessed with simplifying shopping and finding ways to make our customers’ lives easier.

Walmart InHome has plans to expand aggressively, and we’re looking for an Sustainability Manager who has a passion for driving this growth.

  • Test/develop sustainability models involving use/elimination of packaging, associate operations and customer in-app and IRL experience
  • Craft business case proposals for funding/piloting innovative sustainability initiatives – from concept to scale
  • Work closely with Walmart Sustainability team on meeting and exceeding corporate goals and compliance
  • Creation of metrics data supporting optimization of environmental footprint across multiple data points
  • Development of best-in-class packaging and supplies for InHome pilots and launches. Partner with Operations, Product, Design and Marketing to develop sustainability-focused products, processes and messaging.
  • R&D with suppliers on prototyping and evaluation of technical capabilities. Partner with Supply Planning on vendor qualification and cost estimates.
  • Creation of component specifications and quality standards
  • Act as program manager on several fast-moving programs. Development of complex timelines and task ownership assignment/tracking

About you:

  • 5-7 years experience in Sustainability, Product or Packaging Development, Program Management, Operations, or related field
  • Deep understanding of and passion for environmental initiatives and experience in evaluation and alignment to corporate initiatives
  • Self-starter, passionate about solving complex problems
  • Program management with experience managing multiple project timelines
  • Reporting out to senior management
