About the Opportunity
WeWork is currently seeking an Associate to work on projects and programs across the Energy & Sustainability (E&S) team. The Associate will be responsible for assisting with waste and water management programs, engaging with members and employees, and helping with special projects on an as needed basis to generally facilitate the smooth functioning of the E&S team and program.
Please note this role is posted in San Francisco but is open to other cities that have a major WeWork presence.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Report to the Director of Energy and Sustainability
- Assist with a successful roll out of a waste and water management program at the company
- Assist with internal communication regarding E&S programmingAssist with member and Enterprise client requests
- Assist in making educational content
- Assist in planning member- and employee-oriented events
- Spearhead an effort to engage the Community Team as Sustainability champions that will assist with Sustainability initiative implementation
About You
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Building/Interior Design, Engineering or Environmental Management or similar
- 2+ years of experience in a related field
- Sustainability subject matter expertise in the building industry and/or Experience with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work and reporting
- Amazing corporate customer service and communications (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to influence and to work cross-functionally in support of sustainability team objectives and goals
- Strong quantitative analytical skills, problem-solving, and ability to assess the quality of others’ work, particularly quantitative work.
- Good analytical skills using Google Sheets and presentation skills using Google slides
- Results oriented with an ability to operate multiple projects and work with different groups simultaneously. A self-starter with superior organizational skills.
- Familiarity with industry research and trends, and ability to distill substantial and complex data into key insights and relevant takeaways.
- Fluency in English
