But we like to have fun, too. We put people first, celebrate diversity, drive innovation, and do good in the communities where we live and work.

About the Team

As a member of the Sustainability team, you will be supporting the Sr Director, Environmental Sustainability at Workday.

About the Role

Are you looking for a new role leading sustainability reporting and assisting with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures at a growing enterprise cloud company? Our Sustainability team is seeking a Program Manager to lead sustainability reporting, including GRI-based reporting, TCFD reporting, and oversee responses to select ESG rankings and ratings.

This role will work with internal business partners, including investor relations, legal, communications, belonging & diversity, and others across the company to advise on environmental and sustainability reporting risks and opportunities within ESG reporting, enhance and streamline ESG disclosures, and develop strategic insights and recommendations that inform our strategies and governance bodies, including the Board and ESG-related committees. The role will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deepen relationships and improve and streamline annual and ad hoc ESG reporting, including leading the publication of our biennial sustainability report, and build a continuous improvement process.

The ideal candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about the intersection of business and sustainability, a highly organized individual, and a proactive contributor who is able to build highly collaborative partnerships inside and outside of Workday. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading preparation of annual corporate sustainability reports, including GRI-based Global Impact Report, UK Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), and aspects of the upcoming SEC climate-related disclosures
  • Leading, from concept to implementation, the development of the annual sustainability report with internal partners including agency management, content and data collection, editing, reviews and approvals
  • Drafting key sections of environmental and sustainability reporting within an ESG framework and copyediting loose narratives provided by various teams to elevate our Workday story
  • Leading select ad-hoc ESG reporting including TCFD-reporting and related climate scenario analysis activities
  • Assisting ESG teams with conducting periodic formal materiality assessments to inform ESG reporting
  • Performing peer ESG benchmark analyses
  • Driving ESG rankings and ratings audits, gap assessments, and implementation of action plans to address priorities identified
  • Leading engagements with external consultants and other partners to support key relevant workstreams
  • In partnership and in collaboration with cross-functional internal teams, developing a program to manage responses to key ESG rankings and ratings
  • Crafting standard environmental sustainability responses to customers and prospective customers that inspire and engage through compelling data points and narrative storytelling
  • Assisting ESG teams with evaluation and potential implementation of ESG disclosure software to manage its centralized repository of key disclosures
  • Developing reporting tools, such as program scorecards, and process development to collect and disseminate program data and insights that influence global Sustainability strategy and enable program continuous improvement
