The ESG team at YETI provides the strategy, development, and coordination of YETI’s ESG goals and commitments. Delivering on our ESG agenda requires engagement with every area of YETI’s business, and the ESG team provides the strategic thinking and guidance to support our commitments.

As the Senior Manager, ESG, you will be a key member of the ESG team, with a focus on driving our overall strategy with YETI suppliers and advancing our programs focused on fair, ethical and sustainable supply chain management. Through a focus on responsible sourcing/product sustainability you will ensure global alignment and fulfillment of a wide range of initiatives designed to deliver on our ESG goals, protect and enhance the YETI brand and support the rapid growth of our business. You will work cross-functionally across YETI teams to build processes, programs and resources that support YETI’s responsible sourcing and product sustainability expectations and commitments. You also will support the development and implementation of YETI’s short and long-term ESG goals and initiatives, embedding the strategy within functional areas across YETI.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of a clear responsible sourcing and sustainability strategy with YETI suppliers
• Collaborate with key internal teams including Operations, Ethics + Compliance, Quality, Research + Development and Product to further embed sustainable and responsible sourcing practices across the product lifecycle
• Develop and execute the company’s responsible sourcing roadmap across the YETI supplier matrix
  • Create, maintain, and improve processes, protocols and tools related to monitoring/auditing, remediation, and reporting
  • Update YETI’s responsible sourcing procurement policies with focus on labor/human rights and environmental management as needed
  • Oversee the development and delivery of supplier/factory level training
  • Advise internal business partners and collaborate with suppliers to initiate and complete Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)
  • Manage factory scorecard process from an environmental/social compliance perspective
• Contribute to YETI’s public ESG reporting through data collection and analysis of responsible sourcing practices and progress
• Regularly assess risks associated with specific geographies, suppliers, and issues within YETI’s supply chain to prioritize responsible sourcing efforts effectively
  • Create an ESG risk assessment matrix and mitigation plan
• Identify new and existing opportunities to support YETI’s ESG strategy that positively impact the people, communities and environment affected by our business
  • Partner with external organizations globally to support YETI’s commitment to responsible sourcing and product sustainability
  • Grow new external partnerships and programs to develop YETI’s factory worker well-being platform
• Educate and engage internal stakeholders and solicit their input to enhance YETI’s ESG strategy
• Manage the development, prioritization, and execution of new ESG initiatives globally
• Analyze and identify industry trends and best practices; evaluate and advise senior leadership on emerging regulations, supply chain risks and social trends
• Lead and coach team members

Qualifications and Attributes:

• A passion and commitment to sustainable business practices
• A bachelor’s degree required; MBA or masters in relevant field preferred
• At least 8 years relevant experience in business, sustainability consulting, ESG, supply chain operations/management, and/or social compliance/sustainability fields
• At least 4 years of leadership experience, leading a team of specialists
• Deep knowledge of corporate sustainability, ESG, responsible sourcing processes, policies, and industry-solutions
• Ability to assess risks associated with specific geographies, suppliers, and issues within YETI’s supply chain to prioritize our responsible sourcing efforts effectively
• Creative problem solving to develop collaborative solutions across stakeholders
• Sophisticated analytical and program management skills; experience making decisions and recommendations in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills, including ability to influence and story tell with data
• Proven ability to interact effectively and quickly establish professional credibility with diverse colleagues and stakeholders
• Ability to network, influence, and utilize internal and external resources
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of your time

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in developing and executing responsible sourcing implementation roadmaps – particularly in the areas of climate/energy, sustainable raw materials, ethical production, and factory worker wellbeing
• Demonstrated track record of creating, maintaining, and improving process and protocols related to auditing, remediation, and reporting
• Collaboration with suppliers to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact of production, implement improvement plans as needed
• Experience with on-site sustainability projects at manufacturing facilities
• Knowledge of supply chain traceability and transparency of raw materials
