Position Overview:

What you’ll own:

• Partner with director, sustainability with the implementation and management of Young Living’s sustainability goals
• Develop and implement a comprehensive global sustainability strategy that exemplifies the execution of the five by five zero waste goal and beyond
• Define sustainability goals and tracks performance metrics to assess program effectiveness
• Create, implement, and maintain internal sustainability training and programming
• Monitor and track YL recycling activities, proposing improvements or changes to increase landfill diversion, developing educational materials to train employees, and gathering data to track progress
• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions regarding sustainability initiatives, recycling, and other projects
• Act as liaison between various corporate teams, vendors and third parties to assure communication and resource coordination for sustainability programs and projects
• Remain competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed
• Under direction of the director, collaborate with events, public relations, and marketing teams to publicize and promote sustainability within YL and the community

Experience you’ll need:

• Experience developing, maintaining, and/or managing sustainability-based initiatives, processes, or programs involving the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data
• Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft software products and other applicable software or applications
• Experience in defining and managing the scope of online and offline projects
• Passion for problem solving, consensus-building and getting great work out the door on time and on budget
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience in managing internal resources, external contractors, and to achieve production needs
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced (sometimes chaotic) environment
• Excellent communicator – speaks and writes clearly and to the point
