Our flagship event, the EarthX Congress of Conferences held annually in the Spring was developed to bring together governments, business leaders and a diverse array of attendees to cut across industry and political silos to bridge perspectives, leverage expertise, and foster multi-partisan collaboration that drives progress toward environmental solutions.
As EarthX scales for greater global impact, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager to join our team.
Role Overview
The Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager will play an important role in expanding EarthX’s network of strategic partners and sponsors. This individual will support building relationships and closing high-impact sponsorships with corporations, investors, and NGOs aligned with sustainability, conservation, and clean tech ambitions.
This position will work closely with EarthX’s executive leadership, programming, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate is a passionate, mission-aligned sales professional with experience in sponsorship sales, brand partnerships, or business development—especially within sustainability, environmental, or purpose-driven sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship Deliverables
- Support the sponsorship sales strategy for EarthX Congress of Conferences, with a focus on growing EarthX’s revenue by securing annual corporate sponsorships for the Congress of Conferences and other EarthX events
- Support the leadership team to develop programming inline with the sponsorship strategy
- Focus on specific market segments for sponsorship in collaboration with the team
Sales & Sponsorship Team
- Support the facilitation of sponsor relationships by aligning sponsor messaging with relevant sessions, topics, activations, and events
- Connect EarthX with key industry leaders and sustainability influencers to enhance programming and sponsorship development
- Identify, pitch, negotiate, and close strategic sponsorships and partnerships with companies, global brands, investors and NGOs across energy, tech, finance, manufacturing, and consumer goods sectors
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define sponsorship tiers, benefits, pricing models, measurement and partner ROI metrics
- Draft compelling, customized proposals and value-driven sponsorship packages that align with each partner’s brand objectives
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through research, referrals, networking, and outbound prospecting
- Cultivate long-term relationships with sponsors, identifying opportunities for year-round engagement and multi-year commitments
- Represent EarthX at industry events and sustainability forums to network with potential partners and stay on top of sector trends
Sponsor Relationship Management & Event Execution
- Work cross-functionally with content, marketing, and operations teams to ensure delivery of sponsor benefits and seamless execution
- Provide program support leading up to and during the event, ensuring smooth execution of sessions
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with EarthX teams and external partners
- Be available during core business hours to support team collaboration and logistics
- Attend the EarthX conference and support the sponsors to optimize their conference experience
- Support renewals of existing sponsorship year over year
Qualifications
- 5-8+ years of experience in sales, sponsorship, or business development, preferably with event sponsorship and ideally in corporate sustainability or environmental conservation
- Track record of generating corporate sponsorship or partnership revenue.
- Strong network within the sustainability ecosystem and/or corporate ESG, marketing, or CSR departments a major plus
- Strong network of companies, family offices and investors in Texas is also a major plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a consultative and relationship-first sales approach
- Comfortable maintaining systems, working with CRM and sales tools to support the back-end of a robust sponsorship program
- Passion for environmental issues, climate action, and purpose-driven business
- Flexibility to work non traditional hours especially around the lead up to the event
